What a year - 2012

What a year it's been. I'm really tired in every way. A lot has been achieved, by all the family in different ways.

My son continues with Uni, same girlfriend, and job. He's had some good results with Chemistry. The girls finished the year on a high note with school, getting awards. Sam spoke as a presenter at ceremony. She achieved Prefect his year. Bec completed her Queen Scout, a huge effort. She is a real mentor in Scouting.

Hubby Chris works pretty much full time from home now.

I've exhibited more times this year than ever before. Soon I will get together printmaking artwork for our end of year art show Summer Break'. 16 months with The Press Gang now. Learnt a lot, a lot more to learn.

I won an art prize this year with 'Returned To Glory', and sold the artwork. I did artwork for Tshirts for daughter Bec's scout troop, and there are a lot of them running around now.

I guest co-presented  with a talk on Typography at The Hornsby Library for next 'Returned To Glory' 2013.

I've developed so many art ideas, hopefully next year they will reach fruition. Must get my studio sorted this year.

This coming year will be huge. 2 daughters doing HSC. Hope I cope, will be glad when it is all over. They have high ideals, it will be great if they get into the tertiary study courses they want.

Both the girls go away tomorrow for the first time overseas. Sam to Borneo on 'World Challenge', Bec to New Zealand with Scouts on an action packed adventure.

The first time in 17 years I have ever had 2 children away, for 3 and 4 weeks at the same time.

Sam achieved her red P's licence, Bec is close. Ben is showing an interest.

Chris and I had our 35th Wedding Anniversary.

Sadly my Mum has been very ill. She has been in hospital, and now we have had to have her home modified, to make it safe for her to live at home. I hope it all works, she is a frail 82 yr old. I'm hopeful she has the will to make the most of this situation.

I've mad lovely friends at the printmaking studio, and continue my friendship with Marilyn from my previous writing group.

I continue with my writing, have had a lot published in the local small paper.

So all in all, a pretty good year.
